To stand out in a saturated adhesive market with branding and packaging that convey quality and trust.

01) Problem Statement

Despite having a solid product offering, Jointseal struggled with low visibility and weak brand recall due to an underdeveloped identity and ineffective packaging. This limited its ability to differentiate in-store, attract distributor interest, and scale its market presence.
To address this, we conducted in-depth market research across the construction materials space, analyzing competitor packaging, retail shelf environments, and buyer behavior to understand how contractors and distributors perceive quality, trust, and performance at the point of sale.

The research revealed that in a crowded, price-driven market, purchase decisions are heavily influenced by visual trust signals, where strong branding and clear, high-impact packaging play a critical role in conveying quality and reliability at a glance. The gap wasn’t just in aesthetics, but in communication, buyers needed packaging that quickly communicates product type, benefits, and reliability without cognitive effort, especially in fast-paced retail environments.
The strategy focused on reducing visual clutter and increasing communication efficiency—designing packaging that not only attracts attention but also clearly conveys product benefits, enabling faster decision-making for contractors and distributors.

We translated the strategy into a cohesive brand and packaging ecosystem designed for maximum shelf impact and clarity. A bold, distinctive brand identity was created to establish authority and instantly signal quality in a crowded market. To further differentiate the brand and enhance recall, we introduced Gripto—a custom mascot designed to give Jointseal a recognizable face. In a category dominated by generic visuals, Gripto added personality, improved memorability, and created an immediate visual hook for both retail and marketing touchpoints. Building on this, we developed a scalable packaging system that uses strong visual hierarchy, color coding, and structured information to simplify product identification and decision-making—ensuring consistency across SKUs while making the range easy to navigate. This was extended into a conversion-focused website that mirrors the same clarity and character—reinforcing credibility while creating a unified brand experience across physical and digital platforms.
By building a distinctive brand identity, introducing Gripto as a memorable brand asset, and creating a high-impact packaging and digital ecosystem, Jointseal achieved a 70% boost in retail shelf visibility, a 40% increase in distributor orders within three months, and a 3x improvement in brand recall across campaigns.
